Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Svensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammer comes to the cage accompanied by Don"t hurt em hammer!. The key to victory for Mike Hammer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sven Svensen! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer throws a low kick but it's checked well by Svensen. Svensen slips a jab and a cross from Hammer.
Hammer misses with a low kick. Svensen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hammer. Hammer tried to score with a low kick but Svensen checks it. Hammer misses with a series of wild punches.
Svensen goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Mike Hammer has been cut. Svensen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hammer is working to avoid the ground and pound but Svensen connects with a decent elbow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Svensen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hammer sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The ground and pound from Svensen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Hammer defending against the ground and pound. Svensen controls the position. Svensen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hammer keeps working. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Svensen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Hammer managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Svensen.
Svensen tries for a kimura but Hammer is defending well. Svensen lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hammer down.
Mike Hammer's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Svensen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Svensen working away. Hammer wants to get back to his feet but Svensen drags him back down. Hammer can't do much from the bottom here. Sloppy strikes there by Svensen. Svensen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hammer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Svensen controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammer wants to get back to his feet. Svensen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Svensen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Svensen is looking to take a break and control but Hammer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Svensen is trying to get an arm triangle but Hammer is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Svensen throwing shots but missing, from side control. Svensen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hammer has escaped the position, nice work there. Hammer scores with a nice strike. Hammer connects with a jab. Svensen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hammer to the ground. Svensen is now in Hammer's guard. Hammer keeping moving, preventing Svensen from controlling successfully. Hammer looking to control.
Svensen postures up in Hammer's guard and throws a big left but Hammer blocks it. Hammer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Svensen tries to free his leg and advance position but Hammer is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svensen passes Hammer's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hammer is defending against the submission attempts here by Svensen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Svensen is looking to take a break and control but Hammer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Svensen uses his free foot to push down on Hammer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hammer. Svensen sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Svensen looking to control but Hammer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Svensen controlling from mount. Svensen looking to ground and pound but Hammer is blocking nicely.
