Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ed Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Chegod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ed Crusher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dmitry Chegod! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crusher looking to score a takedown here. Chegod is defending well but Crusher drives through and ends up in Chegod's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Chegod wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Crusher wants to stand but Chegod has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Crusher passes into half guard. Crusher trying to mount his opponent but Chegod defends it. Crusher is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chegod doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Crusher.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chegod tries to roll over but Crusher keeps him under control. Chegod trying to control here.
Crusher wants to take a breather but Chegod is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Crusher looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Crusher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chegod keeps working. Chegod keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Ed Crusher has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Chegod is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crusher jumps guard and drags Chegod to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Crusher wants to hit a switch here but Chegod passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Crusher there! Crusher keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chegod looking to secure an arm triangle but Crusher defends it well. Chegod can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Crusher is looking to escape. Chegod manages to capitalize on a mistake by Crusher to take his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ed Crusher dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Chegod tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Crusher shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crusher trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chegod is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. A nice elbow there by Crusher. Chegod is working to get back to half guard.
Crusher can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chegod is looking to escape.

Chegod bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Crusher tries to land a sweep but no joy. Crusher is trying to keep Chegod in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Chegod's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ed Crusher just wasn't active enough. Crusher fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chegod sprawls well initially but Crusher persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chegod is trying to maintain the position but Crusher is very close to passing his half guard. Crusher tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Crusher is looking to take a break and control but Chegod is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Crusher is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chegod is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
We're going to have a standup here because Ed Crusher wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Crusher closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chegod's guard. Crusher stands up from Chegod's guard - Crusher perhaps looking for a knockout. Chegod drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Crusher has taken the fight to the clinch.
Chegod tries to pull guard but Crusher holds him up against the cage and eventually Chegod drops back down to his feet.
Chegod pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chegod creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Crusher's defenses. Crusher stalling in the clinch.
Crusher wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Crusher is leaning against Chegod and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Crusher manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Crusher wants to get back to his feet but Chegod is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crusher keeping moving, preventing Chegod from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ed Crusher dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Crusher closes the distance and clinches. Crusher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chegod stalling in the clinch but Crusher improves position. Chegod is trying to break free. Crusher misses with a knee strike.
Crusher has Chegod pressed against the cage.
Chegod manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Chegod keeping full guard, as Crusher tries to pass. Crusher wants to control from the top but Chegod keeps moving.

Chegod is refusing to be controlled, as Crusher sits in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ed Crusher wasn't doing enough on the ground. Crusher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Crusher darts in and clinches Chegod up against the cage. Crusher lands a right hand that snaps the head of Chegod backwards. Crusher is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Chegod is defending well for now. Crusher pulls guard. Chegod trying to control but Crusher is working from the bottom. Chegod throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Crusher trying to keep a closed guard but Chegod is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Crusher looking for subs off his back but Chegod has passed one foot through into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Crusher trying to hold on to Chegod's head to control him but Chegod postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ed Crusher just wasn't active enough. Chegod fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Crusher. Crusher clinches with his opponent.
Crusher has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chegod uses from the top position. Chegod passes into half guard. Dmitry Chegod has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chegod has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Crusher wants to control but Chegod is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Ed Crusher showed his dominance in that final round. Well Crusher has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
