Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Mullard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Mkhalele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mkhalele comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Noir Désir - Un jour en France kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Mullard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Tristan Mkhalele! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mullard lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mkhalele backs up against the cage.
Mkhalele tries to clinch but Mullard is having none of it. Mkhalele wants to clinch up but Mullard keeps it at a distance. Mkhalele tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mkhalele closes the distance looking to clinch and Mullard counters with a three punch combo that has Mkhalele backing up. Mkhalele nods at Mullard to acknowledge the strikes. Mullard misses with a double jab.
Mullard fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Mkhalele tries to clinch and Mullard counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mullard's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Mullard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mkhalele swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mkhalele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mullard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mullard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mullard pushing down on Mkhalele's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Mullard is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mkhalele won't allow Mullard to pass to mount. Mullard is looking to take a break and control but Mkhalele is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mullard trying to pass the guard but Mkhalele defending well. Mullard looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mkhalele with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mkhalele won't allow Mullard to pass to mount. Mkhalele is trying to get back to full guard. Mullard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mullard slows the pace down in half guard. Mkhalele trying to control but Mullard postures up.
Mullard working over Mkhalele with some ground and pound. Mkhalele looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mullard is trying to control the action in half guard but Mkhalele is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mullard wants to free his trapped foot but Mkhalele is holding on for dear life with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mullard missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mullard is thwarting Mkhalele's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Mullard wants to advance to full mount but Mkhalele doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Mkhalele wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Mkhalele working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mullard. Mullard trying to control but Mkhalele is working from the bottom. Mullard not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mullard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mkhalele is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mullard advances to half guard. Mkhalele is staying active underneath Mullard, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mullard wants to work for an arm triangle but Mkhalele is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mullard prevents Mkhalele from improving his position. Mullard trying to control from half guard but Mkhalele is working away. Mkhalele tries to get to full guard but Mullard has control of the leg. Mullard tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mkhalele knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mullard in particular looking to stall. Mkhalele is trying to maintain the position but Mullard is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Mullard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mkhalele circles away quickly and effectively. Mkhalele tries to clinch up and Mullard counters with a thumping low kick. Mkhalele doesn't manage to clinch there - Mullard circles away.
Mkhalele is looking to clinch but Mullard is avoiding it.
Mkhalele darts in trying to clinch enabling Mullard to counter with a crisp jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mkhalele tries to clinch up but Mullard circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Mullard dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mkhalele moves in looking to clinch but Mullard pushes him off. Mkhalele wants to clinch up but Mullard keeps it at a distance. Mullard swats away the attempt to clinch by Mkhalele. Mullard throws a right and a left that both miss. Mullard keeps the fight on the outside. Mullard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mkhalele. Tristan Mkhalele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mkhalele wants to clinch. Mkhalele throws a sloppy head kick and Mullard moves out of range easily. Mullard shoots in for a double leg but Mkhalele sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mkhalele is looking to clinch. Mkhalele tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mullard digs a good hook to Mkhalele's body.

Mullard finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mkhalele wants to clinch. Mkhalele fails in his attempt to clinch. Mullard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mullard lands in his opponent's guard. Mkhalele is trying to control the position but Mullard postures up. Mkhalele working a defensive guard but Mullard passes into half guard.
Mullard wants to control but Mkhalele is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mullard seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Mkhalele is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
