The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brand shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Brand throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Brand throwing shots but Popov is blocking nicely.
Popov tries to roll over but Brand keeps him under control.
Brand lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Brand seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Brand controlling the pace.
Popov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Popov.
Brand throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Popov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Popov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brand can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Popov keeping moving, preventing Brand from controlling successfully.
Popov has his feet on Brand's thighs here. He's pushed Brand off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Brand screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
