Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Roscrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Harber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddy Harber!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roscrow feints a jab promting Harber to slip. Roscrow then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Harber slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Harber moves into the clinch successfully.
Harber changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Roscrow fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Harber fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Harber with that takedown attempt.
Shane Roscrow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddy Harber.
Some bone on bone action there as Harber checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Harber.
Harber fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Roscrow lands a jab to Harber's midsection.
Roscrow swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Freddy Harber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harber will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Harber pushes Roscrow up against the cage in a clinch.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Harber pulls guard effortlessly.
Roscrow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harber swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Roscrow is working hard here to advance position.
Roscrow has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Harber is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jab, jab by Roscrow - just one landing.
Nice straight punches there by Roscrow. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Roscrow.

Harber forces Roscrow back against the cage and clinches.

Roscrow can't break the clinch.
Roscrow is trying to break the clinch but Harber has him pressed against the cage.

Harber's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice takedown defense from Roscrow. No joy for Harber on that attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Roscrow lands an overhand right.

Harber moves into the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Roscrow tries to throw a body punch but Harber avoids it by throwing Roscrow back against the cage.

Harber tightens his grip and picks Roscrow up, before dumping him to the ground. Roscrow manages to land in guard.
Roscrow keeping moving, preventing Harber from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harber misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Roscrow.
Roscrow lands a jab-cross combination.

Harber moves into range and clinches up with Roscrow.

Harber breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Roscrow throws a series of punches but Harber moves out of range.
Harber is trying hard to land a takedown here. Roscrow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Roscrow lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Harber closes the distance and clinches.

Roscrow is fighting off a takedown attempt but Harber is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Roscrow to the mat. Roscrow regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Roscrow wants to stand and escape but Harber is having none of it.

Harber is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Harber is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Harber stands and steps away. Roscrow gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Harber has managed to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roscrow wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Harber has him pressed against the cage.
Harber lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Harber manages to break the clinch.
Harber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roscrow but Roscrow pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Roscrow fails to land with a series of punches.
Harber misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Harber shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Roscrow manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Harber stands and steps away. Roscrow gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Harber shoots in for a takedown but Roscrow shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Roscrow lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Harber gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Roscrow counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Harber is breathing heavily.
Harber checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Good exchange - Roscrow coming out on top.
Shane Roscrow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Roscrow leaves Harber with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Harber is defended easily by Roscrow.
Harber is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Roscrow.


It looks like Freddy Harber has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Harber has a takedown stuffed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shane Roscrow will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Freddy Harber's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Roscrow lands with a straight right. Harber didn't see that one coming.
Harber shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roscrow as he jumps to the side.
Roscrow throws a sloppy head kick and Harber moves out of range easily.

Harber drives through with a takedown into guard.
Roscrow wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Harber manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harber is working for a kimura but Roscrow is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Harber decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Roscrow lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Harber shoots in for a takedown but Roscrow shows good takedown defense.
Harber closes the distance and clinches up with Roscrow, looking for a takedown. Harber pushes Roscrow against the cage but Roscrow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Roscrow displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harber.
Harber takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Harber shoots in but no luck this time.

Harber looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roscrow is fending him off so far but Harber persists. Nope, Roscrow circles away and we're back to standing.

Harber closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Roscrow quickly recovers to half guard.
Roscrow pushes Harber off looking to stand but Harber dives back in and keeps control.

Harber wants to take a breather but Roscrow is having none of it.
Roscrow is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harber decides to stand and escape the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Harber tries to clinch but Roscrow is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Harber or perhaps it was just good defense by Roscrow which made him look bad.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No joy there for Roscrow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Freddy Harber.
I think Harber has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
