Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andres Aguinaldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Rotte DeMauler! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aguinaldo swings for the body but DeMauler moves out of range.
Aguinaldo dives in and grabs DeMauler's left leg, looking for a takedown. DeMauler pushes down on Aguinaldo's head and hops out. Aguinaldo shoots in and bounces DeMauler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. DeMauler pulls Aguinaldo in close to prevent any damage. Aguinaldo tries to free his leg and advance position but DeMauler is retaining full guard. Aguinaldo postures up in DeMauler's guard and throws a big left but DeMauler blocks it. Aguinaldo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. DeMauler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. DeMauler keeping moving, preventing Aguinaldo from controlling successfully. Aguinaldo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Aguinaldo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aguinaldo throwing strikes but missing. Aguinaldo with a flurry of punches that miss. Aguinaldo trying to control but DeMauler is working from the bottom. DeMauler preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Aguinaldo works a leg free and moves into half guard. Aguinaldo missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Aguinaldo wants to control but DeMauler is keeping him busy. Aguinaldo seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Aguinaldo wants to advance to full mount but DeMauler doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Aguinaldo won't allow DeMauler to sweep him here. Aguinaldo forces his way into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aguinaldo is working for a submission of some sort.
Aguinaldo throwing shots but DeMauler is blocking nicely. Aguinaldo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. DeMauler defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeMauler avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Aguinaldo. DeMauler is trying is best to control the position here. DeMauler tries to roll over but Aguinaldo keeps him under control. Aguinaldo trying to control the pace. DeMauler won't allow Aguinaldo to pass to mount. Aguinaldo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and DeMauler defends it well. Aguinaldo seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. DeMauler is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
