Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caio Cesar Caprillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Haidar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caprillo comes to the cage accompanied by The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun. Reggie Haidar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caio Cesar Caprillo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Reggie Haidar! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haidar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Haidar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Caprillo circles away quickly and effectively. A combination from Haidar does no damage. Haidar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Caprillo counters by clinching up. Caprillo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Haidar fights it off and pushes away nicely.

so Caprillo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Caprillo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Caprillo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Haidar is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caprillo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Caprillo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Caprillo drops back looking for a leg! Haidar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Haidar manages to kick Caprillo off! Caprillo jumps back into Haidar's guard. Haidar wants to get back to his feet but Caprillo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Haidar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Caprillo. Caprillo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Caprillo won't allow Haidar to get back to his feet. Caprillo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Caprillo wants to pass the guard but Haidar is keeping the position. Haidar preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Caprillo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Caprillo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Caprillo scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haidar keeping moving, preventing Caprillo from controlling successfully. Caprillo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haidar is looking to stand up but Caprillo isn't so interested in that idea. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haidar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Caprillo throwing strikes but missing. Caprillo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Caprillo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Haidar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Haidar is defending against the submission attempts here by Caprillo.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Caprillo gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Caprillo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haidar tries to avoid it but Caprillo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haidar to the ground. Haidar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Haidar scores with a decent looking hook. Caprillo fails with a takedown attempt. Caprillo dodges the punch combination from Haidar.
Haidar throws a combination that misses and Caprillo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Caprillo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caprillo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Haidar's efforts to push away. Haidar working hard to break the clinch. Haidar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Haidar has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Haidar tries to break free but Caprillo pushes him back against the cage. Caprillo pulls guard effortlessly. Haidar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Caprillo is proving hard to escape from. Caprillo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Caprillo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Haidar!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caprillo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Haidar is looking to escape. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Haidar can do anything to dispel that myth. Caprillo putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haidar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Caprillo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Caprillo fails with a takedown attempt. Haidar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Caprillo. The fight stays on the outside here - Caprillo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Caprillo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Caprillo showed some decent athleticism there. Haidar is not content to let Caprillo control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caprillo seems to be working for a kimura but Haidar defends the submission attempt. Caprillo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Haidar sees it coming and defends easily. Caprillo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Caprillo is working for a kimura but Haidar is defending it quite comfortably.
Haidar is trying to stand up here but Caprillo is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caprillo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Caprillo working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Haidar is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Caprillo is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Caprillo extends the arm and Haidar is forced to tap!
