Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cloud Van Rude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jamal West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cloud Van Rude! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West clinches. Van Rude drops down looking for an ankle pick but West pulls his leg out and moves away.
Van Rude avoids the head kick by West.
West tries to clinch but Van Rude moves out of range. A punch combination from Van Rude misses. Van Rude shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in West's guard. West looking to control.
West looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Van Rude is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Van Rude looking to pass the guard. Van Rude looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cloud Van Rude wasn't active enough on the ground. Van Rude clinches. West has Van Rude pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Van Rude manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. West tries to circle away but Van Rude has him pinned against the cage. Van Rude successfully pulls guard.
Van Rude working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. West doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. West manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. West trying to control but Van Rude is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Rude has control of West's left arm, preventing West from doing any damage. Let's hope that Van Rude has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Van Rude looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Van Rude is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Van Rude controlling West's posture. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Van Rude misses with a body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Rude drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Van Rude is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. West is breathing heavily. Van Rude throws a big right hand that misses. West keeping full guard, as Van Rude tries to pass. Van Rude stands and steps away. West gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Van Rude gets a clinch. The referee calls for Van Rude to work.
Van Rude wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Van Rude gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, West regains guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Van Rude showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Van Rude must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Van Rude trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Van Rude passes into half guard. Van Rude is looking for a kimura but West is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Van Rude to get the leverage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Van Rude wants to free his trapped foot but West is holding on for dear life with his legs. West is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cloud Van Rude dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Van Rude slaps away a takedown attempt from West, before circling back to the center of the mat. A combination from West does no damage. Van Rude closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into West's guard. Van Rude looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Van Rude pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. West is keeping the position for now. Van Rude showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Rude stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. West swivels though and keeps the full guard. Van Rude lands a couple of digs. Van Rude engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Cloud Van Rude hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. West fails with a takedown attempt. Jamal West is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Van Rude defends well against a solid takedown attempt from West. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamal West. That's going to take a lot out of him. Van Rude feints and as West raises his hands in defense, Van Rude changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Rude advances position into side control! Van Rude staying calm. Van Rude tries to advance to mount but can't. Van Rude stands up and beckons West to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Van Rude closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Van Rude lands in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Rude postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Van Rude wanted to stand there but West had control of the position. Van Rude looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Rude would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. West keeping full guard, as Van Rude tries to pass. Van Rude controlling from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cloud Van Rude has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Van Rude throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. West tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Van Rude is in West's guard. Van Rude wanted to stand there but West had control of the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cloud Van Rude showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

West makes his way to full guard. A much better position for West. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Van Rude controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Van Rude is looking to stand up but West won't let him. Van Rude content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Rude passes easily into side control. Nice work. West is looking for a sweep. Van Rude is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. West knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Van Rude advances to mount. Van Rude controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Rude lands a nice shot to the head. Van Rude controlling the position easily from mount. West is desperately trying to improve his position but Van Rude has a good base and remains in mount. Van Rude is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Van Rude wants to finish this one by submission but West is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Van Rude. Van Rude tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Van Rude really doesn't want to stay on the ground with West. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. West tries to buck Van Rude off but he can't manage it. Jamal West has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cloud Van Rude is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Van Rude looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Cloud Van Rude comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Van Rude has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
