Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Untuva Lapanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guqin Sona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sona throws a sloppy head kick and Lapanen moves out of range easily.
Good standup being displayed there by Lapanen as he connects with a hook.
Sona's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lapanen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sona scrambles back to his feet.
Lapanen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lapanen throws out a loose jab but Sona uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lapanen staying out of range there.
A lazy left from Lapanen finds it's target.
Sona drops his hands momentarily and Lapanen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Sona closes the distance and pushes Lapanen back into the cage.
Lapanen pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Sona jumps guard but Lapanen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lapanen misses with an elbow strike.
Sona pushes Lapanen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Sona dodges an elbow strike from Lapanen.
Lapanen throws a punch but it's blocked by Sona.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sona ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sona no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sona manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sona avoids the attempt from Lapanen to control.

Sona sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Lapanen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Guqin Sona was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Sona shoots in but Lapanen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sona tries to move into range but Lapanen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The fighters circling - Lapanen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lapanen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sona.
Untuva Lapanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guqin Sona.

Lapanen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lapanen throws a leg kick but Sona sees it coming and moves out of range.

and Sona counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sona wants to control from the top but Lapanen keeps moving.
Lapanen is trying to control the position but Sona postures up.

Lapanen working a defensive guard but Sona manages to pass into side control anyway.
Lapanen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sona has just dragged him back down to the mat.

You can see the frustration on Lapanen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lapanen wants to get back to his feet but Sona drags him back down.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Untuva Lapanen.
I think Lapanen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
