Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michi Dogbrother (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Rich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rick Rich will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Rich! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dogbrother wants to clinch but Rich slips to the side and Rich counters with a good, hard body kick but Dogbrother shrugs it off. Rich shoots in for a double leg but Dogbrother sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rich shoots in for a double leg but Dogbrother sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dogbrother closes the distance looking to clinch and Rich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dogbrother's guard now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Rich stands up from guard. Let's bang! Dogbrother looks to clinch and Rich counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dogbrother won't be happy with that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dogbrother seems a little lost for a moment, as Rich dominates the positioning. Dogbrother tries to clinch and Rich counters with a takedown into side control. Dogbrother tries to buck Rich off but Rich is having none of it. Dogbrother is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Rich is one step ahead and moves to full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dogbrother is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dogbrother wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Dogbrother preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Rich. Dogbrother is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Rich.

Dogbrother knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rich on the ground. Dogbrother breaks Rich's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Dogbrotheris looking to pass into half guard but Rich pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rich is in guard. Dogbrother has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rich can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dogbrother keeping moving, preventing Rich from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rich got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dogbrother has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rich has managed to get both his arms back between Dogbrother's legs - danger averted. Dogbrother working for a triangle but Rich defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rich stands up from guard. Let's bang! Rich drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rich seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dogbrother is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dogbrother had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rich defends it easily. Dogbrother on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dogbrother tries to get out of the position.

Rich stands up from Dogbrother's guard - Rich perhaps looking for a knockout. Dogbrother tries to clinch up and Rich counters with a left and a right that stings Dogbrother. Dogbrother defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rich. Michi Dogbrother has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Rich. Dogbrother closes the distance but Rich moves to the side and Rich counters with a body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rich swats away the attempt to clinch by Dogbrother. Rich circles away from the clinch attempt and Rich counters by moving into the clinch. Dogbrother using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rich has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rich blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rich avoids the elbow strike from Dogbrother, against the cage.
Dogbrother is trying to break the clinch but Rich has him pressed against the cage. Rich drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dogbrother pushes off an throws an elbow but Rich leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dogbrother struggles to land a body shot inside as Rich controls his hands.
Dogbrother tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Rich drags the fight down to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Rich dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dogbrother darts in trying to clinch and Rich counters with a straight right hand. Rich swats away the attempt to clinch by Dogbrother. Nice takedown defense from Dogbrother. No joy for Rich on that attempt. Dogbrother moves in looking to clinch but Rich pushes him off. Michi Dogbrother seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dogbrother wants to clinch but Rich slips to the side and Rich counters with a head kick. That will keep Dogbrother thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Dogbrother is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rich avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rich closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rich moves nicely into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dogbrother tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dogbrother gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rich is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dogbrother to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dogbrother shrugs it off. Rich prevents Dogbrother from getting the reversal. Dogbrother tries to improve his position but instead Rich has taken his back! Dogbrother defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Rich's arms. Dogbrother rolls, trying to escape but Rich keeps control of the position.

Dogbrother remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rich will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Dogbrother breaks Rich's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Dogbrother drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rich dives on top into guard. Dogbrother is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rich defends well. Rich trying to control but Dogbrother is working from the bottom. Rich sitting in guard here, content to control. Rich stands up from Dogbrother's guard - Rich perhaps looking for a knockout. Rich shoots in looking for a takedown. Dogbrother tries to sprawl out of it but Rich keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dogbrother manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rich has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dogbrother tries to clinch and Rich counters by clinching up. Rich is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Michi Dogbrother has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Rich. Dogbrother wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rick Rich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Dogbrother closes the distance but Rich moves to the side and Rich counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dogbrother is lucky that one didn't land flush. Dogbrother tries to clinch but fails miserably and Rich counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rich. Dogbrother wants to get back to striking at distance but Rich won't allow it.
Rich prevents Dogbrother from breaking the clinch. Dogbrother with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Rich has Dogbrother pressed against the cage, preventing Dogbrother from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Rich keeps control of Dogbrother as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dogbrother misses with a short punch on the inside. Dogbrother goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dogbrother swings wildly with an uppercut but Rich uses good head movement to avoid it. Rich lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rich in particular looking to stall. Rich passes to full mount!

This isn't 1993 though, so Dogbrother shrugs it off. Rich is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Rich extends the arm and Dogbrother is forced to tap!
