The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dogbrother wants to clinch but Rich slips to the side
and Rich counters with a good, hard body kick but Dogbrother shrugs it off.
Rich shoots in for a double leg but Dogbrother sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Rich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dogbrother's guard now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rich got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dogbrother has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rich has managed to get both his arms back between Dogbrother's legs - danger averted.

Rich is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dogbrother to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dogbrother shrugs it off.

Rich has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
