The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Dowe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gans doesn't seem phased though.
Gans swats away the attempt to clinch by Dowe.
Dowe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gans misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dowe throws a right and a left that Gans avoids nicely.
Gans tries to clinch but Dowe moves out of range.
Gans tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dowe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gans somewhat.

Dowe tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gans avoids it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gans can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dowe maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gans could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Dowe has cracked it and Gans is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Dowe!
