Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Corey Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Incognito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Corey Mason has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Mason! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Incognito! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason connects with an inside leg kick. Mason gets in close and instigates a clinch. Incognito tries to throw a body punch but Mason avoids it by throwing Incognito back against the cage. Mason is trying to maintain a safe position but Incognito gets an underhook and turns Mason into the cage. Incognito has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mason after a bit of a struggle. Mason taking a breather. A bit of stalling here from Mason.
Knees in the clinch landing for Mason.
Incognito is trying to drag Mason to the mat but Mason just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Mason unloads a knee to the mid-section. Incognito lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Mason wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Incognito has him pressed against the cage. Incognito has Mason pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Incognito pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mason tumbling to the mat - Incognito dives into Mason's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Mason is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Incognito is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Incognito throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mason looking to control.
Incognito slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Incognito tries to close the distance and clinch but Mason swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Incognito moves in looking to clinch but Mason pushes him off. Mason with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Incognito content to control rather than advance. It looks like Incognito might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Mason tries to kick Incognito off but Incognito keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Mason knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Incognito on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Incognito takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Don Incognito. Incognito takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Mason turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Incognito fails in his attempt to clinch. Incognito shoots for a takedown but Mason saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Corey Mason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Incognito.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mason throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Incognito misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mason moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Mason circles away from the clinch attempt and Mason counters with a thumping low kick. Incognito is looking to clinch but Mason is avoiding it.
Mason lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Incognito circles away quickly and effectively. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A head kick from Mason lands but Incognito takes it in his stride. The fight moves into the clinch position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Corey Mason will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mason scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Incognito darts in trying to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Incognito tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mason manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mason drives through and clinches with Incognito against the cage.

Incognito pulls guard effortlessly. Mason trying to stand up but can't free himself from Incognito's guard. Mason trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Incognito looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Incognito pulls Mason in close to prevent any damage. Mason wants to control from the top but Incognito keeps moving. Incognito has his hands on Mason's head, controlling the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Corey Mason wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Mason connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A chopping leg kick lands by Mason. Don Incognito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck with that takedown attempt from Incognito. Incognito's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mason scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Mason clinches up against the cage. Mason breaks the clinch.
Corey Mason is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mason takes a swing at Incognito's ribcage but misses. Incognito tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Incognito darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mason is in trouble now - Incognito has advanced to mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Incognito tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mason manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Incognito moves away from the strike by Mason.

Incognito loads up on a big right hand but Mason slips the punch. No luck for Incognito with that takedown attempt. Incognito takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mason misses with a double jab.

The fight stays on the outside here - Incognito looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Incognito tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Mason chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Incognito closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mason circles away. Don Incognito has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Corey Mason is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Incognito tries to clinch but Mason is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Corey Mason showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mason, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
