Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zana Zarabatana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boston Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrier has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Zana Zarabatana is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zana Zarabatana! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 76 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boston Terrier! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zarabatana lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Terrier at a distance.
Zarabatana feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Zarabatana seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Terrier can't keep his opponent in guard - Zarabatana advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Zarabatana passes the guard and advances to mount! Terrier looks gassed! Zarabatana is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Terrier can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zarabatana has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Terrier's face.
Zarabatana tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Zarabatana stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Zarabatana moves into the clinch. Zarabatana lands a right hand that snaps the head of Terrier backwards. Zarabatana breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Terrier gets caught flat footed, as Zarabatana shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zarabatana showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Zarabatana stands up from Terrier's guard - Zarabatana perhaps looking for a knockout. Zarabatana gets a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zarabatana moves into full mount! Terrier won't be happy about that! Zarabatana landing punches. Zarabatana scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Terrier?
Terrier is rocked! Zarabatana drops a big elbow. That's hurt Terrier! More shots from Zarabatana and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zana Zarabatana!
