Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Read (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thabang Sosibo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Read comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Fence Me In. Thabang Sosibo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Read. Sosibo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sosibo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Read throws a shot from downtown. Sosibo moves away and avoids it.

Sosibo cracks Read with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Read fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sosibo manages to avoid it.

Sosibo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Read sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sosibo is just content to waste time from the top position. Read takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Sosibo won't allow Read to sweep him here.
Read pulls Sosibo in close to his closed guard and prevents Sosibo from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Thabang Sosibo wasn't active enough on the ground.
Read dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sosibo. That did some damage!

Sosibo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Read manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sosibo manages to get himself to full guard.

Sosibo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Read is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Sosibo's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Sosibo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Read's guard.

Read is keen to just control but Sosibo is a slippery customer.

Oh but Read is tightening it up a little... Sosibo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sosibo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sosibo taps out! Nice BJJ there by Read!
