The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simans with a lazy takedown attempt
and McHale decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Simans's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Simans being controlled here, momentarily.
McHale makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
McHale controlling from the top position.
McHale postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Simans can't keep his opponent in guard - McHale advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
McHale uses his free foot to push down on Simans's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Simans.
McHale connects with a bit shot that sees Simans covering up! More strikes from McHale and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! McHale is our winner by TKO!
