Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Mosby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jack Mosby's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Mosby!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mosby circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mosby dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Mosby's head and hops out.
Silva throws a series of punches but Mosby avoids them all with ease.
An inside leg kick lands from Silva.
Silva connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mosby shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mosby.
Silva lands a nice looking body kick.
Mosby pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mosby.
Jose Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Mosby.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mosby.
Silva misses with a low kick as Mosby jumps back.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Silva lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mosby has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mosby and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mosby feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mosby won't allow Silva to get back to his feet.

Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mosby on the ground.
Mosby stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Mosby was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Mosby gets tackled into the cage by Silva. Silva maintains the clinch.
Silva wants to get back to striking at distance but Mosby won't allow it.
Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A right-left combo lands from Silva.
Mosby throws a low kick but it's checked well by Silva.
Silva throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mosby's head.

Mosby fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva throws a low kick but Mosby moves out of range easily.

Mosby blocks a head kick by Silva.

Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva leaves Mosby with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva motions for Mosby to come forward. Silva throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Mosby avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mosby shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mosby was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Silva is trying to stand up.
Mosby with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mosby takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Mosby sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Silva has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Silva will probably get the nod.

Mosby fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
Mosby breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Mosby circles away.

Mosby is landing with strikes. Silva can't take much more of this.
