PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pelmen Mochotin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petor Druskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mochotin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hollywood Undead - California. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pelmen Mochotin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Petor Druskin!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Druskin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mochotin circles away.

Mochotin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mochotin throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Druskin to regain full guard.

Druskin working for a triangle but Mochotin defends it easily.
Mochotin trying to control but Druskin is working from the bottom.

Druskin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mochotin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mochotin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Mochotin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Druskin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Druskin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mochotin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Druskin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mochotin controls the pace.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mochotin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Mochotin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Druskin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mochotin with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Mochotin is working Druskin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Druskin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mochotin has picked Druskin up and slammed him! Druskin can't keep hold of the triangle and Mochotin manages to pass to side control!
Mochotin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.


It looks like Petor Druskin has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mochotin looks up at the clock and then as Druskin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mochotin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mochotin is chipping away with strikes.


Druskin is rocked!
Mochotin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A big shot lands for Mochotin! That's hurt Druskin! Will he recover? Mochotin fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pelmen Mochotin!
A determined Pelmen Mochotin didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
