Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne-Drop the World. Lee has chosen I Am Perfection by Cage 9 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ricky Lee! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee scores with a hook to the body. Steele takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lee is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Steele. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lee lands with a hook. Steele tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Steele waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lee. Steele throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lee misses with a double jab.

It looks like Ben Steele has been cut. Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lee takes a body punch but keeps moving. Lee shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lee was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Steele is in all sorts of trouble here.
Steele bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Steele trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steele with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Steele is one step ahead there. Steele stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lee working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Steele. Steele drops back for a leg! He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steele trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom. Steele preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steele lands a couple of decent looking shots. Steele working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Steele is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Steele has gone for a leg lock! Lee slips out almost immediately though and dives into Steele's guard. Lee postures up in Steele's guard and throws a big left but Steele blocks it. Steele preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lee scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steele utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steele. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steele bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard. Steele postures up.

Steele wants to stand up but Lee is controlling him. Lee throws a sloppy strike and Steele has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Lee is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Steele!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ben Steele! Ben Steele decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
