Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antti Rannanjarvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhani Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rannanjarvi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Stonehenge by Spinal Tap. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Rannanjarvi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juhani Virtanen! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Virtanen moves out of range as Rannanjarvi strikes. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Rannanjarvi - that will leave a mark!
Rannanjarvi throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Virtanen is rocked!
It looks like Juhani Virtanen has been cut. Rannanjarvi throws a sloppy head kick and Virtanen moves out of range easily. Virtanen is still on wobbly legs! Can Rannanjarvi finish him? Antti Rannanjarvi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Virtanen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Virtanen seems to have recovered his senses. Rannanjarvi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Virtanen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rannanjarvi dives on top into guard. Rannanjarvi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rannanjarvi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Virtanen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rannanjarvi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rannanjarvi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Virtanen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rannanjarvi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Virtanen looking for a guillotine here but Rannanjarvi defends easily.
Virtanen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rannanjarvi controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Virtanen looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rannanjarvi passes into side control.
A lull in the action here as Rannanjarvi stalls from top position. Virtanen manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rannanjarvi's best efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Virtanen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rannanjarvi controlling the action here. Virtanen is controlling Rannanjarvi's position as best he can from this difficult position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rannanjarvi is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Virtanen is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Rannanjarvi pulls his head out easily. Virtanen looks gassed! Rannanjarvi slows the pace down in half guard. Virtanen wants to improve his position but Rannanjarvi is controlling well.

Virtanen tries to clinch up. Rannanjarvi misses the jab. Rannanjarvi throws a series of punches but Virtanen moves out of range. A big head kick from Rannanjarvi and Virtanen is sent sprawling to the canvas! Virtanen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rannanjarvi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rannanjarvi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Virtanen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Virtanen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rannanjarvi is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Virtanen wants to control but Rannanjarvi passes easily into half guard.
Virtanen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rannanjarvi slows the pace down in half guard. Virtanen is pressing down on Rannanjarvi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rannanjarvi escapes and throws Virtanen's legs to the side, diving into side control! Rannanjarvi controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rannanjarvi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Virtanen is trying to get back to half guard. Rannanjarvi controls the position from side control. Rannanjarvi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Virtanen keeps working. Virtanen is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Virtanen prevents Rannanjarvi from moving into mount. Virtanen looks to move to half guard but instead Rannanjarvi has passed into mount! Damn! Virtanen is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rannanjarvi goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jab from Rannanjarvi. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Rannanjarvi! Virtanen is out on his feet! Rannanjarvi rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Virtanen is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Virtanen is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
