PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Patrick Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joost Meijers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Haze might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Zigeunerjongen - Grad Damen . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Patrick Haze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joost Meijers!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Joost Meijers has been cut.
Meijers lands with a thumping leg kick.
Meijers throws a sloppy head kick and Haze moves out of range easily.
Meijers lands with a kick to the temple. Haze shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Patrick Haze has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Haze chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Meijers can pounce on him.
Meijers walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Haze checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Meijers misses with a straight right.
Meijers showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Haze.
Meijers jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Meijers misses with a looping right.
Haze lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Meijers circles away quickly and effectively.
Haze slips under a jab.
Meijers throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Haze counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Haze.
Meijers waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Haze.
A looping hook to the body misses from Meijers. Haze does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jab, jab by Haze - just one landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Meijers throws a sloppy body shot
and Haze counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Meijers is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Meijers pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Meijers tries to keep at a distance but Haze has taken the fight into the clinch.

Meijers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Meijers swats away the attempt to clinch by Haze.
No joy there for Haze, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Haze ducks into a a hook from Meijers and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Meijers is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Meijers thows a body kick. Haze tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Haze is breathing heavily.
Haze tries to get into range but Meijers steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Haze! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Meijers scores the big KO victory!

Joost Meijers tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
