Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marco Kroepoek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Grzegorz Lato! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lato closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kroepoek quickly recovers to half guard. Lato perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kroepoek pushes Lato off looking to stand but Lato dives back in and keeps control.
Lato controlling the action here. Lato thows a huge punch but Kroepoek dodges it nicely.
Lato wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kroepoek keeps working. Kroepoek is trying to stand.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Grzegorz Lato was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kroepoek lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kroepoek throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lato will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lato shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lato fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Marco Kroepoek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grzegorz Lato. Lato looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kroepoek is fending him off so far but Lato persists. Nope, Kroepoek circles away and we're back to standing. Kroepoek pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lato closes the distance and clinches up with Kroepoek, looking for a takedown. Lato pushes Kroepoek against the ropes but Kroepoek circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kroepoek moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Lato looks for a takedown but Kroepoek sprawls well. Lato looks gassed! Lato has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kroepoek.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lato shoots in for a double leg but Kroepoek sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lato shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Grzegorz Lato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kroepoek buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kroepoek scores with a head kick. Lato tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Grzegorz Lato has been cut. Lato stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kroepoek. Lato takes a jab right on the kisser.
Lato with a poor takedown and Kroepoek counters with a massive head kick! KABOOM! Lato is out cold! A devastating KO!
