The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stradivarus thumps Silva with a low kick.
Stradivarus throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease.
Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva gets to his feet - Stradivarus follows without any prompting.
Silva moves into the clinch.

and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stradivarus's guard.

Silva is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stradivarus sees it coming and defends easily.
Silva decides to stand and escape the position.
Stradivarus throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silva counters with a nice body kick.

and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stradivarus's guard.
Silva drops back looking for a leg! Stradivarus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stradivarus manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Stradivarus's guard.
Stradivarus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stradivarus's guard.
Silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Stradivarus is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Silva decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Stradivarus throws a leg kick
and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Stradivarus fights it but they end up in guard.
Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stradivarus, up you get!
