Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hawk Seibold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Seibold might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to SCOTTISH PIPE. Mir has chosen Spoilin For A Fight as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Hawk Seibold! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seibold feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Mir throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Mir bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Seibold's guard. Mir looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Mir loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mir looking to pass the guard. Mir throws an elbow that misses. Seibold uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mir's guard. Nice move by Seibold! Mir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Seibold gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Seibold is aware though and is defending well. Seibold has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seibold working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Seibold throws a big right hand that misses. Seibold trying to control but Mir is working from the bottom. Seibold won't allow Mir to sweep him here. Seibold advances to half guard. Mir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Seibold takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Seibold looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mir with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mir is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Seibold pulls his head out easily. Seibold scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mir wants to control but Seibold is keeping busy.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Mir is looking to improve his position.
Mir is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Seibold's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Seibold's back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seibold grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Seibold covering up well under a barage of strikes. Mir has the hooks in. Seibold is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Seibold knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground. Seibold rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Seibold is trying to stand up here but Mir is controlling him well. Seibold is defending against the submission attempts here by Mir.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Seibold keeps working. Mir working Seibold over with strikes. Mir works his way into full mount! Mir misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Mir thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Mir sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Mir can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Seibold is looking to escape.

Mir thowing shots but they're missing. Mir throws a strike there. Seibold manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Mir trying to control from half guard but Seibold is working away. Seibold keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mir performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Mir wants to work for an arm triangle but Seibold is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Mir is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Seibold sees it coming and defends easily. Mir missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mir perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Mir is looking to take a break and control but Seibold is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mir might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Seibold kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Mir works his way into side control. Mir tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Mir is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Seibold has escaped the position, nice work there. Seibold prevents Mir from improving position. Seibold is trying to get back to half guard. Mir lands a nice forearm strike.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Mir tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mir has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mir tries to score with some ground and pound. Seibold controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Seibold tries to bench press Mir off him but Mir keeps the position. Mir sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Seibold is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Seibold struggling a bit here. Mir working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mir looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mir tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frank Mir's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Mir stuns Seibold with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Seibold bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mir sneaks back into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mir makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mir. Seibold in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Seibold working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mir looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mir throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Seibold content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Mir looking for a sweep. Not yet Mir, not yet. Mir working a defensive guard here.

Seibold trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Seibold won't allow Mir to sweep him here. Mir lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Seibold! Mir throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Seibold has worked his arm free - good work by Seibold!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mir is looking to take a break and control but Seibold is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Seibold can't do much from the bottom here. Seibold is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mir is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Mir landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mir not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mir lands with a punch from half guard. Mir is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Seibold has managed to free his arm - good work. Mir with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Mir is looking to advance position but Seibold won't allow it. Mir is just content to waste time from the top position. Seibold takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Mir stands and throws Seibold's legs to the side, diving into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Seibold takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Mir trying to control the action but Seibold is working from the bottom. Seibold is not in a great position here, taking some shots. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mir postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Mir taking a breather here. Mir connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Seibold some visible discomfort.

Seibold rolls with it to try and escape but Mir cranks on the arm and Seibold is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
