The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bristol wants to clinch up but Zalinski keeps it at a distance.
Zalinski bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Zalinski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bristol doesn't seem bothered though.
Zalinski lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Zalinski jabs Bristol right on the nose. Bristol blinks but takes it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zalinski lands a slapping body shot.
Bristol tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zalinski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bristol tries for a takedown but Zalinski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nice combo by Zalinski! Oh, that's hurt him - Bristol falls to the canvas and Zalinski follows him into side control.
Bristol is rocked!
It looks like Stefan Bristol has been cut.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Zalinski lands a big left to the face of Bristol, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Zalinski and another - Bristol is out! Zalinski stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ray Zalinski!
A determined Ray Zalinski didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
