Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stone Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wall closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wall lands in his opponent's guard.

Wall gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Johnson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Wall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.

Wall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wall wants to clinch.
Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wall avoids it really well and circles away.
Wall is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

Johnson wants to clinch up but Wall keeps it at a distance.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Wall, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Wall counters with a single leg into guard. Johnson didn't expect that.
Stone Wall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Johnson.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wall tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes.

Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wall.
Wall tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Wall shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Wall feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Wall is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Stone Wall just wasn't active enough.
Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Johnson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Wall!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That's time! Wall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Wall seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Johnson for as long as he can get away with.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stone Wall wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Wall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Wall wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

Wall in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Johnson prevents Wall from moving into mount.
Wall controlling the position from side mount.
Wall trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom.
Wall just content to control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stone Wall has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Johnson throws a big shot that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stone Wall dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Wall shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wall circles away quickly and effectively.
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Wall finish him?

Wall manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure.

Johnson pulls Wall in close to his closed guard and prevents Wall from doing any damage or advancing position.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.
Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wall not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Stone Wall just wasn't active enough.

Johnson throws a half hearted mid kick.

Wall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wall tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wall to the ground. Wall escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wall scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Johnson to see if he's OK.

Wall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?

Wall shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wall gets slowly back to his feet.

Wall shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Wall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stone Wall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wall. Wall circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Wall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Johnson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wall scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wall passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Wall stands up and beckons Johnson to his feet.

A left and a right from Wall both land. Nice combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Johnson tries to sprawl but Wall drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Harry Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stone Wall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Stone Wall showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
