Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Omi Shuai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo SIlva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shuai comes to the cage accompanied by Xiaolin Showdown. Paulo SIlva will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Omi Shuai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paulo SIlva! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! SIlva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shuai sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten SIlva somewhat. SIlva looks to clinch and Shuai holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Shuai stops a takedown attempt from SIlva.
SIlva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shuai pulls his leg out and moves away.
Omi Shuai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo SIlva. SIlva shoots in and bounces Shuai off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Shuai working for a triangle but SIlva defends it easily.
SIlva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Shuai is trying to keep SIlva in close.

That's one minute gone in the round. SIlva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Shuai might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. SIlva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and SIlva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. SIlva works a leg free and moves into half guard. SIlva is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. SIlva maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Shuai could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but SIlva has cracked it and Shuai is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by SIlva!
