Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tobuscus Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Broadus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Broadus is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Who Am I?. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broadus lands a nice shot to the body.
Broadus throws a leg kick

and Turner counters by moving into the clinch.
Turner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Turner has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Broadus uses from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Broadus's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Broadus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Broadus has managed to get both his arms back between Turner's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turner is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Turner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Broadus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Broadus is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Broadus wants to get up but he can't break Turner's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Broadus tries to free his leg and advance position but Turner is retaining full guard.

Calvin Broadus has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Turner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Broadus as he avoids it easily.
Broadus wants to clinch up but Turner keeps it at a distance.
Turner tries to clinch but Broadus is having none of it.

Broadus has taken the fight to the clinch.
Broadus prevents the takedown attempt.

Turner connects with a knee to the head.
Turner tries to pull guard but Broadus forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Turner throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Turner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Turner jumps guard but Broadus stands there with Turner around his waist. Turner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Turner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tobuscus Turner will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A lazy left from Broadus finds it's target.
Broadus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Turner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Broadus swivels and escapes.
Turner takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Turner tries to clinch but Broadus is having none of it.
Turner fails in his attempt to clinch.
Turner dives in and grabs Broadus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Broadus pushes down on Turner's head and hops out.
Broadus jabs Turner to the body, keeping him at a distance.

and Broadus makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Turner walks into a jab.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Broadus connects with a good right hand that stumbles Turner. Turner circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Tobuscus Turner has been cut.

Broadus tries to close the distance and clinch but Turner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Broadus jabs Turner to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Broadus throws a sloppy head kick and Turner moves out of range easily.
No luck for Turner with that takedown attempt.

Broadus sends Turner crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Broadus is motioning to the referee to let Turner up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Turner is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turner swats away the attempt to clinch by Broadus.
Oh Turner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Broadus lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Turner is looking to close the distance but Broadus sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Turner crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Turner is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
