Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Francesco Chiappinelli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodrigo Santos!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Rodrigo Santos has been cut.
Chiappinelli looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Santos lands an overhand right.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chiappinelli as he avoids it easily.
Chiappinelli throws a nice looking combination but Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Santos lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chiappinelli at a distance.
Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chiappinelli rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chiappinelli thows a left - swing and a miss!
Santos throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chiappinelli on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Santos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chiappinelli napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chiappinelli is looking for a sweep.
Santos in side control, throwing shots but Chiappinelli defends.
Santos is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chiappinelli is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chiappinelli parries the strikes from Santos easily there. Santos is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Chiappinelli to escape.
Santos misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Chiappinelli is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Santos is controlling him well.

Santos has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Chiappinelli is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Santos yanks on the arm and Chiappinelli is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Santos.
