Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack The Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Callum Elliot!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliot stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Elliot wants it to stay on the feet.
Elliot swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Elliot scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Jab by Elliot.
The Ripper moves out of range of the strikes.
Elliot jabs The Ripper to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Elliot looks for the body kick but The Ripper saw that one coming.
The crowd cheers as Elliot lands an impressive looking overhand right. The Ripper doesn't seem phased though.
Crunch! Elliot slams his shin into The Ripper's torso.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The Ripper misses with a double jab.
Elliot with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Good exchange - Elliot coming out on top.


The Ripper is rocked!
Elliot misses with a head kick.
Elliot pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The Ripper slips under a jab from Elliot.

The Ripper closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - The Ripper lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Elliot keeping moving, preventing The Ripper from controlling successfully.
Elliot being controlled here, momentarily.
The Ripper trying to control the position from guard on top but Elliot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The Ripper is really struggling to control Elliot but he's trying to hold on to the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack The Ripper wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Elliot with a jab.
The Ripper throws an overhand right that lands on Elliot's shoulder, as Elliot tries to avoid the shot.
The Ripper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Elliot as he avoids it easily.
Elliot pushes The Ripper away with a front kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Ripper moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Elliot misses with a kick to the body.
The Ripper looks for a takedown but Elliot sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack The Ripper. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Elliot throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on The Ripper's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Elliot dives in looking to finish as The Ripper flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Elliot's strikes! Elliot is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! The Ripper's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but The Ripper was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Callum Elliot!
