Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Boris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Hend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Boris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Hend! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hend bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Boris manages to get back to half guard. Boris moves into full guard.
Hend tries to free his leg and advance position but Boris is retaining full guard. Hend prevents Boris from getting back to his feet. Hend looking to sit in guard and control but Boris gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Boris stands up from Hend's guard - Boris perhaps looking for a knockout. Boris lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Boris.
It looks like John Hend has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hend fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boris sprawls well initially but Hend persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Boris is pressing down on Hend's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hend content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Boris manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hend manages to get himself to full guard.
Hend is trying to control the position but Boris postures up. Boris missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hend wants to get back to his feet but Boris is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hend has momentary wrist control but Boris slips an elbow through the middle. Hend keeping moving, preventing Boris from controlling successfully. Boris keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hend's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boris is looking to work some ground and pound but Hend has wrist control. Boris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Boris content to stall in guard here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boris in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Boris postures up.
Boris cracks Hend with a solid left hand. Boris postures up in Hend's guard and throws a big left but Hend blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boris lands a couple of decent looking shots. Boris in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Boris with a flurry of punches that miss. Hend working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Boris. Boris throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Boris throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hend works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hend really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boris working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Hend wants to sweep but no luck. Boris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hend should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Boris scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hend is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hend utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Boris trying to control the position from guard on top but Hend is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hend looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boris is one step ahead there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hend wants to get back to his feet but Boris is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Boris dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Hend's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hend manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Boris on his heels. He'll look to pass Boris's guard now, I'm sure. Boris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hend's guard. Boris is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Boris landing with the ground and pound. Boris is looking to work some ground and pound but Hend has wrist control. Hend is trying to control the position but Boris postures up. Boris working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hend avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hend avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hend wants to get back to his feet but Boris is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Boris postures up in Hend's guard and throws a big left but Hend blocks it. Boris throws a big elbow that misses. Boris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hend is looking to stand up but Boris isn't so interested in that idea. Boris throws a big right hand that misses. Boris stops Hend from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hend is working an open guard so Boris takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Bill Boris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hend shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hend showed some decent athleticism there. Boris is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hend's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hend's back! Boris lands a shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boris is landing with strikes from the back. Boris is working for a rear naked choke. Hend is not defending it well and Boris has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hend refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hend's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
