Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaimana Kalainawai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalainawai comes into the arena with Collie Buddz - She Gimme Love blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaimana Kalainawai! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kane Yamada! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalainawai on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kalainawai uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yamada has time to react. Yamada works the jab nicely. Kalainawai takes a body punch but keeps moving. Yamada tries to land a front kick but Kalainawai steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Yamada scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kalainawai takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kalainawai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kalainawai uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yamada. Yamada lands a really nice looking cross but Kalainawai seems unphased.
Kalainawai misses with an uppercut. Yamada saw that one coming. Yamada thows a body kick. Kalainawai tries to catch it but that hurt him. Yamada uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kalainawai. Kalainawai throws a jab when Yamada was well out of range. Yamada wants to clinch. Yamada thumps Kalainawai with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Yamada.

and Yamada counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kalainawai connects with a body shot. Kalainawai takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kalainawai throws a lazy right hand but Yamada sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Yamada avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kalainawai just misses with a punch to the body.
Kalainawai takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kalainawai misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kalainawai walks forward, straight into a front kick from Yamada. Yamada thuds a left hand into Kalainawai's body. Kalainawai is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamada misses with a wild body shot. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Yamada, right into the meat.

and Yamada counters with a lovely shot to the body. Yamada swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Yamada tries to clinch up. Yamada is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kalainawai rather than just go for the knockout. Kalainawai fails to land with a series of punches.

and Yamada counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kalainawai shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaimana Kalainawai. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yamada defending well as Kalainawai loads up on a big left hand. Kalainawai is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Yamada clobbers Kalainawai with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Kaimana Kalainawai has been cut. Yamada tries to clinch but Kalainawai is having none of it. Kaimana Kalainawai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yamada throws a body kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamada misses with a double jab.
A jab from Yamada misses. Kalainawai walks forward, straight into a front kick from Yamada. Yamada keeps Kalainawai at a distance using the push kick. Kalainawai is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Yamada's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Yamada turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kalainawai takes one to the chin there. Yamada has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Yamada will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yamada takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yamada throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kalainawai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Yamada tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kalainawai paws at him with a jab and circles away. Yamada pushes Kalainawai away with a front kick. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kalainawai. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Kalainawai walks into a stiff left hand from Yamada. Yamada stuns Kalainawai with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yamada lands a front kick. Kalainawai fails with a takedown attempt. Kalainawai has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kalainawai there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kalainawai is rocked! Yamada dances in with a quick combination. Kalainawai is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Yamada snaps Kalainawai's head back. Kalainawai stumbles backwards against the cage. Yamada steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Kalainawai's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Kalainawai just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kane Yamada! Kane Yamada retains his middleweight title! Kane Yamada spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
