Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Kint!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Carter!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter motions for Kint to come forward. Carter throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Kint working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carter wants to stand but Kint is controlling the position.

Kint is really struggling to control Carter but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Kint stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kint passes Carter's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Carter wants to improve his position but Kint is controlling well.
Carter tries to kick Kint off but Kint keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Kint is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Carter has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kint wants to pass the guard but Carter is defending well.
Carter wants to get back to full guard.

Kint seems to be looking for submissions.
Kint is just content to waste time from the top position. Carter takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kint. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kint looking to sit in guard and control but Carter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Carter misses with a two punch combination.
Carter cracks Kint with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kint throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carter thuds a left hand into Kint's body.
Carter blocks a jab.
Kint slips under a jab.
A swing and a miss from Carter.
Carter walks into a straight right hand from Kint.
Kint walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carter, as that shot connected.

Kint takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kint ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Carter stuffs the takedown.
Kint loads up on a big right hand but Carter slips the punch.
Carter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Kint moves into the clinch.
Kint blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Carter is trying to break free.
Kint has Carter pressed against the cage.
Kint lands a right hand that snaps the head of Carter backwards.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter working aggressively here.
Carter tries to break free but Kint pushes him back against the cage.
Kint scores with a shot to the side of Carter's head.
Kint is trying to pull guard but Carter turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kint fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Kint. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carter is trying to break free.

Kint keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carter's efforts to push away.
Kint is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Carter is keeping busy.
Kint tries to work over Carter's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Kint walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Kint looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Carter is looking to escape.
Carter trying to control from the bottom.
Kint wants to take a breather but Carter is having none of it.
Kint trying to mount his opponent but Carter defends it.

Kint is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Carter wants to get back to his feet.

Kint is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Carter sees it coming and defends easily.
Kint is pressing down on Carter's thigh, looking to free his foot. Carter is holding on for now.

Kint seems to be looking for submissions.
Carter wants to control but Kint is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kint works his way into side control.
Ryan Carter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Roger Kint.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kint, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
