Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Steinbrenner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Lockwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steinbrenner clinches up with Lockwood and pushes him back against the cage.
Lockwood throws a knee to the head but misses.
Steinbrenner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lockwood fails in his attempt to clinch.
Steinbrenner darts in and clinches Lockwood up against the cage.
Lockwood gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Lockwood keeps control of Steinbrenner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lockwood wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Steinbrenner is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lockwood can't fight it off and eventually Steinbrenner manages to take the fight to the floor. Lockwood looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steinbrenner dives in and grabs Lockwood's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lockwood pushes down on Steinbrenner's head and hops out.

Steinbrenner has hold of one of Lockwood's legs. Lockwood is fighting the takedown attempt but Steinbrenner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Steinbrenner decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lockwood, up you get!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Steinbrenner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
