Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ace Popo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbin Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Popo's entrance music is Murder To Excellence. A fine choice. Gracie has chosen Nervecell - Psychogenocide as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robbin Gracie! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Popo decides to take the fight back to the feet. Popo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Popo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Popo is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ace Popo. Popo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gracie is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Popo keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Gracie is trying to control but can't.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Popo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gracie is staying active underneath Popo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Gracie is bucking up trying to escape but Popo cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The referee warns Gracie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Popo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Gracie is refusing to be controlled, as Popo sits in half guard. Popo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Popo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Popo is looking for a kimura here.

Popo winds up and cracks Gracie with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Popo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gracie's head. Well, if Popo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Popo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Popo tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gracie. Gracie tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Popo has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Popo working Gracie over with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Popo working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Popo working for a submission but Gracie is keeping him at bay. Gracie takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Ace Popo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Popo working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Gracie is rocked! Popo looking to control but Gracie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Popo prevents Gracie from getting the reversal. Gracie is trying to reverse the position but instead Popo has taken his back - oops! Gracie breaks Popo's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Gracie wants to control from the top but Popo keeps moving. Popo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gracie is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Popo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gracie is looking to defend but Popo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gracie! Popo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gracie taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ace Popo! A relieved looking Ace Popo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
