Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mak Artur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Artur comes into the arena with I shall return blaring out of the sound system. Adam Davies will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Artur counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Davies misses with a wild combination.
Artur throws a lazy right hand but Davies sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Artur lands with a straight right. Davies didn't see that one coming.
Davies takes one on the button.
Davies avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Davies swings widly with a right hand
and Artur counters with a nice uppercut.
Artur wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Artur thuds a left hand into Davies's body.

Artur moves in looking to clinch but Davies pushes him off.

Davies throws a hook to the side of Artur's head but Artur sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Artur bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Davies's head backwards.
Mak Artur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Artur misses with an uppercut. Davies saw that one coming.
Davies throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice defenses there by Artur.
Artur rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Davies moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Artur wants to slow Davies down by chopping away at his legs.
Artur tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Davies counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Artur lands with a hook. Davies tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Davies fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Artur lunges at Davies with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Davies's hand.
Artur ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Artur is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Artur wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Artur checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Artur throws a series of punches but Davies avoids them all with ease.
Artur tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Davies manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Artur throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Artur missing with a left hand there. Davies was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Artur cracks Davies with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Artur throws a lazy right hand but Davies sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Davies throws out a loose jab but Artur uses good head movement to avoid it.
Davies takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Artur's jab looks to have found its range, popping Davies under the eye.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Artur here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Davies has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Artur lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Davies looks to land a combination but Artur avoids it well.
Adam Davies is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Davies throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davies moves out of range of the strikes.
Artur lands a jab to the head.

Davies fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Artur manages to avoid it.
Davies seems to have recovered his senses.

Davies tests Artur's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Davies uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Artur.
Davies throws the left hand but Artur avoids the punch easily.
Artur forces Davies back against the ropes and clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Artur stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Davies tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Artur's elbow.
Davies swings wildly with an uppercut but Artur uses good head movement to avoid it.

Artur is looking to control Davies's arms but Davies gets an underhook and turns him. Now Artur has his back to the ropes.
Davies tries a body shot but Artur blocks it.
Artur tries to throw a body punch but Davies avoids it by throwing Artur back against the ropes.

Artur drags the fight down to the ground.
Artur working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davies doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Artur is tightening it up a little... Davies has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Davies reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Davies taps out! Nice BJJ there by Artur!

After winning the bout, Mak Artur thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
