Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adam Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jiu Jitsu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gracie throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Gracie landing strikes.

Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jiu Jitsu has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Jiu Jitsu.
Jiu Jitsu is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jiu Jitsu is trying to get an arm triangle but Gracie is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gracie is trying to work for a sweep but Jiu Jitsu has mounted him!
Gracie is desperately trying to improve his position but Jiu Jitsu has a good base and remains in mount.
Gracie tries to hold on but Jiu Jitsu postures up.

Jiu Jitsu with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Jiu Jitsu sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Gracie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gracie tries to hold on but Jiu Jitsu pushes him away.

Jiu Jitsu thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Gracie is looking for a sweep. Jiu Jitsu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie.
Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jiu Jitsu wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
Gracie pulls Jiu Jitsu in close to prevent any damage.

Gracie is looking for a triangle but Jiu Jitsu pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jiu Jitsu tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Jiu Jitsu's temple.

Jiu Jitsu wants to get back to his feet.

Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Jiu Jitsu defends the submission attempt.
Jiu Jitsu is looking to control Gracie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jiu Jitsu avoid being mounted?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jiu Jitsu trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Gracie manages to pass to mount!
Gracie blocks Jiu Jitsu's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

It looks like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jiu Jitsu hang on?
Gracie wants to control the pace but Jiu Jitsu is squirming around nicely.
Gracie cracks Jiu Jitsu with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jiu Jitsu tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
You get the feeling that Jiu Jitsu really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Gracie lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie working the ground and pound effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Gracie dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jiu Jitsu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gracie defends it nicely.
Gracie tries to work over Jiu Jitsu's front leg with a kick but Jiu Jitsu checks it.
Jiu Jitsu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gracie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gracie connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Gracie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gracie prevents Jiu Jitsu from improving his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jiu Jitsu looks like he's trying to stand up.
Adam Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gracie is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Gracie is landing with some decent strikes but Jiu Jitsu is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gracie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Gracie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jiu Jitsu to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jiu Jitsu shrugs it off.
Gracie lands a big shot there that rocks Jiu Jitsu but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.


Jiu Jitsu is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Jiu Jitsu bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Gracie and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Gracie!
A relieved looking Adam Gracie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
