Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paddy Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Lindberg! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lindberg tries to clinch up and Tyson counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Tyson wants to control from the top but Lindberg keeps moving. Tyson stays in close to Lindberg's body and controls the position. Lindberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tyson scoring with some ground and pound. Lindberg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tyson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tyson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tyson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lindberg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tyson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tyson chips away with some ground and pound. Tyson is in close to Lindberg's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tyson passes Lindberg's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Tyson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lindberg is trying to get back to full guard. Tyson winds up and cracks Lindberg with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Tyson is keen to just control but Lindberg is a slippery customer. Tyson uses his free foot to push down on Lindberg's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lindberg. Lindberg takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Tyson landing shots from mount. Tyson dominating with strikes here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lindberg wants to get back to his feet.
Tyson avoids the attempt from Lindberg to control. Lindberg is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson lands a big elbow. Lindberg is looking to improve his position but Tyson isn't that keen on the idea. Tyson punishing his opponent with strikes. Tyson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Tyson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Lindberg is rocked! Lindberg looks gassed! Lindberg is looking to improve his position but Tyson isn't that keen on the idea. Tyson landing strikes from the mount. Lindberg is still in real trouble! Can Tyson finish him? The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Lindberg wants to hold on but Tyson pushes him away. Lindberg seems to have recovered his senses. Tyson dominating with strikes here. A nice elbow there by Tyson. Lindberg tries to reverse the position but Tyson maintains control. Lindberg is in a horrible position here. Tyson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Tyson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lindberg to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lindberg shrugs it off.

Tyson cracks Lindberg with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lindberg is bucking up trying to escape but Tyson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Tyson lands with some strikes. Tyson raining down hammerfists from mount. Tyson drops a big elbow. That's hurt Lindberg! More shots from Tyson and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
