The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatsuya throws a body punch but Rose moves out of range.
Ryuu Tatsuya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick from Tatsuya lands but Rose takes it in his stride.
Rose throws a series of punches but Tatsuya moves out of range.

Rose gets through Tatsuya's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Rose is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Rose breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rose throws a lazy right hand but Tatsuya sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rose throws an overhand right that lands on Tatsuya's shoulder, as Tatsuya tries to avoid the shot.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Tatsuya looks up at the clock. Bad move! Rose lands a right hand from hell, dropping Tatsuya. Rose pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

A determined Hell Rose didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
