Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carpet Chair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gino Arcinas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chair throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Arcinas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chair as he avoids it easily.
Chair changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Arcinas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Arcinas dives in and grabs Chair's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chair pushes down on Arcinas's head and hops out.
Carpet Chair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gino Arcinas.
Arcinas lands a head kick!

It looks like Carpet Chair has been cut.
Arcinas misses with a takedown attempt
and Chair makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Arcinas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Chair scores with a nice right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chair lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chair connects with a body shot that sends Arcinas's belly button to the back.
Chair cracks Arcinas with a good jab.

and Chair counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Arcinas looks gassed!
Chair moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chair blocks a head kick by Arcinas.

Chair feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Arcinas's calf.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chair stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Chair looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Arcinas looks to land a body kick but Chair moved away.
Chair throws a good cross that connects.
Chair connects with an inside leg kick.
Arcinas is trying desperately to land a takedown but Chair is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Arcinas.
Chair connects with a leg kick. Arcinas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Chair scores with a jab to the head.
Good leg kick by Chair there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Chair closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arcinas is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Chair moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carpet Chair!
Carpet Chair retains his lightweight title!
Carpet Chair was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
