Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitch McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Karate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McDonald might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sounds of Silence. Karate is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Keith Murray - Slap Somebody. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitch McDonald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joey Karate! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karate throws out a token jab with nothing on it. McDonald moves forwards but Karate connects with a nice, crisp jab. McDonald throws a head kick that half lands.
Karate misses with a hook. McDonald ducked under it nicely. Karate throws a right hand that McDonald ducks under and follows up with a left that McDonald also avoids with ease. Karate throws out a loose jab but McDonald uses good head movement to avoid it. Karate misses with a hook. McDonald ducked under it nicely. McDonald fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Karate manages to avoid it. A jab from Karate does it's job there. Karate scores with a punch to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! McDonald just misses with a punch to the body.
McDonald ducks under a wild hook from Karate. McDonald tries to score with a low kick but Karate moves his leg out of the way. Karate swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Karate misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McDonald.

Karate is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McDonald.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karate misses with a wild combination.
Karate throws a body punch but McDonald moves out of range. No joy there for Karate, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Karate misses with a looping right. McDonald is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Karate. Karate pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McDonald lets loose with a powerful body kick. Karate will feel that in the morning. Karate looks gassed! McDonald misses the shot to the body. A combination from McDonald does no damage. McDonald lands a really nice looking cross but Karate seems unphased.
McDonald shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karate pinned against the cage. Karate gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McDonald looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Karate is fending him off so far but McDonald persists. Nope, Karate circles away and we're back to standing. McDonald goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McDonald lunges at Karate with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Karate's hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karate takes one to the chin there. Karate misses with a two punch combination.
McDonald misses with a few strikes there.
Karate slips a jab and a cross from McDonald.
Karate swings for the body but McDonald moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from McDonald. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitch McDonald. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice jab there from Karate. Karate moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. That kick from McDonald tenderised Karate's leg. Karate is trying to keep his angry face on. McDonald gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Karate gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McDonald.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Karate creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDonald working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Karate is looking to break free of the clinch but McDonald has double underhooks. Karate has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Karate has had enough of the clinch but McDonald keeps him there for the moment. Karate's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A jab from Karate misses. McDonald throws a nice outside leg kick. A jab from McDonald does it's job there. Karate jabbing away but nothing is landing. McDonald thows a left - swing and a miss! Karate might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. McDonald gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. McDonald thuds a left hand into Karate's body. Joey Karate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karate leaves McDonald with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A big right from McDonald misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McDonald lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McDonald. Joey Karate is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McDonald lands a big head kick that sends Karate tumbling to the mat! McDonald takes a step backwards and waves Karate back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Karate is rocked! McDonald weaves into range and cracks Karate right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Karate goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! McDonald is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mitch McDonald! Mitch McDonald was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
