Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Dracula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Pointek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pointek has chosen Sevendust - Enemy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mike Pointek has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pointek fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dracula throws a right and a left that Pointek avoids nicely.
Pointek tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dracula misses the shot to the body.
Dracula will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Pointek counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pointek.
Pointek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dracula swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pointek stops Dracula from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dracula wants to stand up but Pointek is controlling him.
Pointek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dracula works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Pointek is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dracula is breathing heavily.
Pointek slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Dracula is trying to buck Pointek off.
Pointek has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Dracula!

Pointek postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dracula looks a forlorn figure.

You get the feeling that Dracula really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Pointek has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dracula's face.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Pointek bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dracula's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dracula can't keep his opponent in guard - Pointek advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Dracula has hold of Pointek's hands but Pointek slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Pointek looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Dracula is trying to stand.
Dracula is in trouble now - Pointek has advanced to mount!
Dracula takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Dracula wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee warns Dracula that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dracula tries to buck Pointek off but he can't manage it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dracula trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Dracula closes the distance but Pointek moves to the side
and Pointek counters with a head kick.
Dracula fails to land with a series of punches.
Dracula catches Pointek with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A left and a right from Dracula both land. Nice combination.

and Pointek counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dracula!
Pointek is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dracula can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pointek won't let Dracula get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dracula is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pointek cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Pointek is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dracula has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dracula!
Dracula has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pointek is proving hard to escape from.
Pointek has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Dracula has passed into side control.
Dracula wants to stand but Pointek is controlling his arm.
Pointek is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dracula's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Dracula seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Pointek is pressing down on Dracula's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Dracula would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pointek is on top in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pointek feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pointek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dracula swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dracula pushes Pointek off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Pointek shoots in and bounces Dracula off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dracula wants to get back to his feet but Pointek is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pointek loads up on a big left hand. Dracula felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Pointek looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Dracula can't hide his disappointment, as Pointek celebrates the victory.
