Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Quinton Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rico Ramos! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson misses with an uppercut. Ramos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ramos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jackson is trying desperately to improve position. The referee warns Jackson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Ramos wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely. Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position. Ramos throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jackson because Ramos loaded up on that one. Ramos looking to finish with strikes here!
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jackson is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ramos on the ground. Ramos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramos landing strikes from the mount. Jackson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ramos.

Ramos swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jackson is now in Ramos's guard. A big mistake from Ramos there, giving up the dominant position! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Ramos's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ramos trying to keep a closed guard but Jackson is proving a slippery customer.
Ramos tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ramos is adopting a defensive guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ramos is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramos won't allow Jackson to sweep him here. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Ramos from controlling successfully. Ramos showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rico Ramos. Jackson tries to keep at a distance but Ramos has taken the fight into the clinch. Jackson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramos has picked Jackson up - he's going for a ride! Ramos dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Ramos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ramos controlling the action here. Ramos trying to control from half guard but Jackson is working away. Ramos throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ramos is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.

Ramos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ramos.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ramos is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ramos is looking for a kimura here.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Jackson won't allow Ramos to pass to mount. Ramos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working. That's eight minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ramos wants to take a breather but Jackson is having none of it. Ramos tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jackson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rico Ramos wasn't active enough on the ground. Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Ramos shoots in. Ramos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Ramos has a takedown stuffed. Quinton Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Ramos. Jackson scores with the left hand. Ramos knows he should have avoided that one. Jackson lands an overhand right. Jackson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ramos. Jackson missing with a left hand there. Ramos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Ramos shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense. Nice cross by Jackson. Ramos moves out of range of the strikes. Ramos ducks under a wild hook from Jackson. Jackson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jackson thuds his right hand into Ramos's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jackson throws a lazy right hand but Ramos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jackson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ramos on the side of the head. Ramos has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ramos stalls. Ramos is trying to trip Jackson. He has hold of a leg but Jackson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ramos persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ramos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ramos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ramos fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rico Ramos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jackson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ramos's hands. A big right from Jackson misses. The crowd cheers as Jackson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ramos doesn't seem phased though. Ramos gets a takedown into half guard. Ramos is trying to control. Jackson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jackson has hold of Ramos's hands but Ramos slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ramos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jackson defending well though.

Rico Ramos has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. No luck for Ramos with that takedown attempt. Ramos ducks under a wild hook from Jackson. Jackson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramos dives in and scores a takedown into Jackson's guard. Ramos is standing up over Jackson. Jackson looks to escape but Ramos dives into side control.
Jackson tries to improve position but can't. Rico Ramos has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson trying to control but Ramos flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Ramos punches the canvas rather than the man. Ramos thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ramos looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Jackson taps!
