Church comes to the cage accompanied by Come To Life. The crowd seem to be enjoying Niaz's choice of entrance music: Damn it feels good to be a gangsta. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Church gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Niaz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Hector Church has been cut.
Church slips a jab and a cross from Niaz.
Church shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Niaz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Church backs up against the cage.
Niaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Church paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Church looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Church. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Niaz slaps away a takedown attempt from Church, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Niaz is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Church throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Niaz's waist but Niaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Church off to one side.
Niaz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Church.
Church shoots in looking for a takedown but Niaz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Church's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Church takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Niaz, as that shot connected.
Niaz slaps away a takedown attempt from Church, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Church is breathing heavily.
Niaz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Niaz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Niaz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Church at a distance.
Church keeps the fight on the outside.
Niaz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Dick Niaz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Niaz fails in his attempt to clinch.
Church has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Hector Church's cut is getting worse.

Niaz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Church. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Church is rocked!
Church is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Niaz doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Church crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Church's bad books for that mishap!

After the fight, Dick Niaz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
