Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rabban Harkonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerard Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harkonnen comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Rabban Harkonnen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerard Mullins!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harkonnen looks for the body kick but Mullins saw that one coming.
Harkonnen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rabban Harkonnen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mullins shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harkonnen but Harkonnen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Harkonnen tries to score with a low kick but Mullins moves his leg out of the way.
Harkonnen scoring well with a low kick there.
Harkonnen scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Harkonnen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mullins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mullins shoots in and drives through. Harkonnen sprawls well.
Harkonnen misses with a head kick.
Harkonnen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Harkonnen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Harkonnen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Mullins doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Harkonnen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Harkonnen ducks under a wild hook from Mullins.
Mullins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harkonnen as he avoids it easily.
Rabban Harkonnen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gerard Mullins.
A head kick misses from Harkonnen.
Harkonnen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mullins has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Harkonnen tries to sprawl but Mullins drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Harkonnen is looking for a sweep. Mullins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mullins is trying to control. Harkonnen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Mullins is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gerard Mullins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Harkonnen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mullins takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Harkonnen throws a push kick but Mullins slaps the foot to one side.
Mullins punishes Harkonnen's body with a nice straight punch.
Harkonnen lands a high kick!

Crunch! Harkonnen slams his shin into Mullins's torso.
Rabban Harkonnen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Harkonnen throws a sloppy head kick and Mullins moves out of range easily.
Mullins tries to move into range but Harkonnen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A solid leg kick lands there for Harkonnen.
Mullins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mullins waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Harkonnen.
Harkonnen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mullins.

Both fighters circling a little - Harkonnen finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Harkonnen throws the kick towards the body but Mullins avoids it.
Nice sprawl there from Harkonnen as Mullins shoots in.
Harkonnen scores with the left hand. Mullins knows he should have avoided that one.
Mullins takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Harkonnen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Harkonnen thuds his shin into the meat of Mullins's side.
Mullins doesn't manage to clinch there - Harkonnen circles away.
Harkonnen lands with a thumping leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mullins looks for a takedown but Harkonnen sprawls well.
Mullins misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rabban Harkonnen dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Mullins looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Well, if Mullins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mullins is keen to just control but Harkonnen is a slippery customer.
Harkonnen is trying to control but Mullins manages to pass to mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mullins cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mullins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Harkonnen is looking to escape.

Harkonnen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Mullins controlling from the full mount.

Mullins looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Mullins tries to control but Harkonnen wriggling away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harkonnen avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mullins.

Mullins swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Harkonnen is now in Mullins's guard. A big mistake from Mullins there, giving up the dominant position!

Mullins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Harkonnen controlling the position for now.

Mullins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harkonnen is just riding it out for now. Mullins eventually gives up the hold.

Gerard Mullins has got the better of the ground game so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harkonnen is on top in guard.
Mullins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Harkonnen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gerard Mullins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Mullins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Harkonnen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mullins. Mullins circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Harkonnen.
Mullins shoots for a takedown but Harkonnen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mullins shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harkonnen sprawls well. Harkonnen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mullins gets slowly back to his feet.
Rabban Harkonnen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gerard Mullins.

A nice leg kick lands there from Harkonnen.
Mullins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Mullins changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Harkonnen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mullins prevents Harkonnen from getting back to his feet.

Mullins trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mullins throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Mullins looking to control but Harkonnen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Mullins controlling from the full mount.
Harkonnen tries to reverse the position but Mullins maintains control.
Mullins trying to control but he's not successful this time.
You get the feeling that Harkonnen really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Poor strikes thrown by Mullins there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Mullins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mullins looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gerard Mullins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mullins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Gerard Mullins decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
