Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boris Pavlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jargo Leek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jargo Leek will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leek throws a right hand that Pavlov ducks under and follows up with a left that Pavlov also avoids with ease.
Pavlov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leek tries to avoid it but Pavlov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leek to the ground. Leek escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pavlov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Leek swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Leek scores with a jab. Pavlov acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Pavlov walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Leek checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Leek lands a nice hook to Pavlov's body. Pavlov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Leek paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Pavlov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Leek on the side of the head.
Pavlov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leek pinned against the cage. Leek gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Leek counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Leek has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pavlov shoots in and bounces Leek off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boris Pavlov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pavlov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

After the fight, Jargo Leek was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
