PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julisz Michal Kasperski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Julisz Michal Kasperski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan ducks right into an uppercut from Kasperski.
Duncan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kasperski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kasperski gets caught napping as Duncan dives in and scores a takedown. Kasperski manages to retain guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kasperski wants to sweep here but Duncan controlling him for the moment.

Duncan stands and steps away. Kasperski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Duncan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kasperski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kasperski tries to clinch but Duncan is having none of it.

Duncan pushes Kasperski up against the cage in a clinch.
Kasperski lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Duncan backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kasperski is fighting off a takedown attempt but Duncan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kasperski to the mat. Kasperski regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Duncan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kasperski keeping moving, preventing Duncan from controlling successfully.
Kasperski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Duncan won't allow Kasperski to sweep him here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Duncan stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Duncan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kasperski to the mat! Kasperski manages to get full guard.
Kasperski looking for a sweep. Not yet Kasperski, not yet.
Duncan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Kasperski wants to stand but Duncan is controlling the position.
Duncan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kasperski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duncan on the ground.

Kasperski is really struggling to control Duncan but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Duncan with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kasperski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kasperski misses with a jab, cross combination.

Duncan rushes Kasperski and presses him up against the cage.

Duncan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kasperski lands a two punch combo.
Kasperski is breathing heavily.
Duncan lands with a hook. Kasperski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Duncan shoots for a takedown but Kasperski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Duncan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Julisz Michal Kasperski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy Duncan.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice takedown defense from Duncan. No joy for Kasperski on that attempt.
Kasperski throws a series of punches but Duncan moves out of range.
Kasperski fails in his attempt to clinch.

Duncan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kasperski sprawls well initially but Duncan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Duncan is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kasperski is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Andy Duncan!
