Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kustaa Pohjanala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pohjanala comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Hard as a Rock. Williams comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ballroom Blitz kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pohjanala throws a push kick but Williams slaps the foot to one side. Williams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pohjanala.
Pohjanala throws a hook but Williams avoids it easily. Williams moves out of range of the strikes. Williams throws a good cross that connects.
Pohjanala scores with a hook. Williams checks a leg kick nicely. Pohjanala tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Williams was well out of range. Poor timing from Pohjanala. Kustaa Pohjanala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams throws a push kick but Pohjanala slaps the foot to one side. and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pohjanala listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Pohjanala fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Williams fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pohjanala manages to avoid it. Williams throws a wild body kick that Pohjanala sees coming a mile off. Pohjanala throws a sloppy head kick and Williams moves out of range easily. and Williams counters with a good low kick that Pohjanala was not able to check. Pohjanala keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pohjanala. Williams does a little dance to reset his feet. Pohjanala steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williams. Williams jabbing away but nothing is landing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pohjanala keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Williams digs a good hook to Pohjanala's body.

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pohjanala won't be happy with that. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Williams moves into full mount! Williams trying to control but he's not successful this time. Williams scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pohjanala?
Williams is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pohjanala has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Pohjanala is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Pohjanala is desperately trying to improve his position but Williams has a good base and remains in mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Williams is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pohjanala has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pohjanala! Williams throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Williams had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pohjanala defends it easily. Pohjanala trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Williams keeping moving, preventing Pohjanala from controlling successfully. Pohjanala postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams is looking for a guillotine. Jeff Williams dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Pohjanala jabs at Williams's body. The crowd cheers as Pohjanala lands an impressive looking overhand right. Williams doesn't seem phased though. Pohjanala lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Williams looking to ground and pound but Pohjanala is blocking nicely. Williams jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pohjanala is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pohjanala and Williams has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Williams moves into full mount! Williams has hold of Pohjanala's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pohjanala manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Williams moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pohjanala has worked his arm free - good work by Pohjanala!

Williams in side control, just content to control the action for now. Williams tries for a kimura but Pohjanala is defending well. Pohjanala trying to control but Williams flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Williams drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pohjanala dives on top into guard. Pohjanala has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pohjanala can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pohjanala defends well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pohjanala got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! Jeff Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Pohjanala's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Pohjanala steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williams. Williams blocks a jab. Pohjanala moves out of range of the strikes. Pohjanala tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Williams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Pohjanala ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away. Kustaa Pohjanala is winning the standup battle so far. Sloppy strikes from Pohjanala. Those never looked like landing. Pohjanala misses with a two punch combination.

Williams winds up and cracks Pohjanala with a swinging punch to the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Williams perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Williams wants to work for an arm triangle but Pohjanala is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pohjanala defends it well. Williams content to control rather than advance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williams is trying to work for a kimura but Pohjanala is defending well.
