Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Axxe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thor Axxe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Bang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thor Axxe!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axxe lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Axxe throws a sloppy head kick
and Bang counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Axxe's guard now.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bang drops back, looking for a kneebar! Axxe looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Axxe looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Axxe!
Axxe tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bang tries to improve position but can't.
Bang is trying to control Axxe's posture but Axxe avoids it.
Axxe wants to stand but Bang has his arm trapped.
Bang is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Axxe tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Axxe works the jab nicely.
Bang fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Axxe misses with a wild combination.
Axxe throws a nice looking combination but Bang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

A slapping leg kick lands for Bang.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Axxe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bang.
Bang lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bang throws a head kick that half lands.
A head kick misses from Bang.
Axxe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bang lands with a shot to the body.
Axxe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Axxe moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Axxe throws a leg kick that misses.
Axxe stuffs the takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Axxe swivels and escapes.

Axxe works over Bang's head and body with a nice combination.

Bang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Bang is breathing heavily.

Axxe checks the leg kick.
Axxe throws a right hand that Bang ducks under and follows up with a left that Bang also avoids with ease.
Axxe connects with a body shot.
Axxe works over Bang's head and body with a nice combination.
Bang lands with a kick to the temple. Axxe shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Axxe lands with a shot to the body.
Axxe connects with a nice looking jab.
Axxe takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Bang lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Axxe circles away quickly and effectively.
Danga de danga de dang - Axxe scores with a four punch combination!
Bang is rocked!
Axxe throws a pinpoint strike between Bang's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Bang crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Axxe scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thor Axxe!
