The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Bukilic shows good takedown defense.
Bukilic darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage.

Smith pushes Bukilic back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Bukilic lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bukilic creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Smith tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bukilic avoids it.

Bukilic tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Bukilic lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Smith.

Smith drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bukilic pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bukilic wriggles free and stands up.
Bukilic moves out of range as Smith throws a body kick.
Pavle Bukilic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bukilic is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Bukilic rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage.

Smith ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Smith no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bukilic wants to get up but he can't break Smith's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bukilic trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Smith gets tackled into the cage by Bukilic. Bukilic maintains the clinch.
