Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rod Munch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toa Kiuga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Munch comes to the cage accompanied by Gabriel Gonzaga - Joke You Are a Bad. Kiuga has chosen Wish as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rod Munch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toa Kiuga!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Munch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Munch showed some decent athleticism there.
Munch wants to control but Kiuga is keeping him busy.
Munch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Munch has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Rod Munch has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kiuga throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kiuga uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Munch.

and Munch makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Munch counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Munch manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kiuga on his heels. He'll look to pass Kiuga's guard now, I'm sure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kiuga tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

A punch lands to the side of Kiuga 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Kiuga moves in looking to clinch but Munch pushes him off.
Kiuga tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Munch manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Munch looks to land a combination but Kiuga avoids it well.
Munch uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kiuga.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kiuga fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Munch manages to avoid it.

Toa Kiuga is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kiuga, as that shot connected.


It looks like Rod Munch has been cut.
Kiuga misses with a few strikes there.
Munch closes the distance and clinches up with Kiuga, looking for a takedown. Munch pushes Kiuga against the cage but Kiuga circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rod Munch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kiuga throws a shot from downtown. Munch moves away and avoids it.
Kiuga throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Munch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kiuga tries to avoid it but Munch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kiuga to the ground. Kiuga escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kiuga avoids a punch combination nicely.
Munch takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Munch thows a body shot but no joy.
Munch throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kiuga connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kiuga scores with the left hand. Munch knows he should have avoided that one.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kiuga bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Munch's head backwards.

Rod Munch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kiuga throws a jab but it's blocked by Munch.

Toa Kiuga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Toa Kiuga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kiuga lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Munch keeps the fight on the outside.
Munch shoots for a double leg takedown but Kiuga sprawls well. He's pushed Munch's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kiuga enables Munch to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kiuga manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Rod Munch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Munch postures up and lands a big shot to Kiuga's brow.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Munch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Toa Kiuga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kiuga has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
